Skipped that bagel for breakfast and now you're wondering why?

Head to Whole In One Bagels in Bishop Square for your carb fix.

Sometimes you just can't beat a bagel and shmear in the middle of the day. And Whole In One, which has been at the downtown location for more than a year, has a wide selection of bagels, from the classic cinnamon-raisin to the ever-popular everything bagel, all at 75 cents each. We enjoyed the onion and garlic flavors with plain cream cheese, though Whole In One has a nice assortment of flavors from pesto to strawberry to honey walnut.

During lunch, it serves bagel sandwiches ($5.50). Take your pick from roast beef, chicken, tuna, ham or turkey on your choice of bagel. Early risers can get a breakfast bagel ($5), with ham, egg and cheese.

The chicken Caesar and chef salads ($5.95 each) are popular as well.

The best part: After 2 p.m., all bagels and spreads are half off.

Hours: 6 a.m.-4 p.m. weekdays, closed on weekends. 528-3800.
