• The exhibit "Commitment to Excellence," sponsored by the Honolulu Japanese Chamber of Commerce at Amfac Exhibition Center, opens Monday, Sept. 10, and runs through Sept. 21. A news source provided an incorrect opening date that appeared in the Art Calendar on Sept. 2.

• By Nov. 1, the state Department of Education must have 27 of its 41 school complexes pass the intensive service testing that measures how well they are helping special needs children. Twenty-one complexes already have passed the test. Because of an editor's error, an incorrect number was given in a story yesterday.
