Maui High, St. Anthony win

Tualau Malafu rushed for 228 yards and scored four touchdowns, to carry Maui to a 41-14 victory over St. Anthony.

The Maui Interscholastic League football game was played Thursday at King Kekaulike field. Maui is 2-0, St. Anthony 0-3.

Malafu carried the ball 16 times and score on runs of 3, 22, 13 and 32 yards.

He scored twice in the third period as the Sabers overcame a 7-6 halftime deficit. Maui scored 22 points in the third period for a 28-7 lead going into the fourth period.

Lahainaluna 28, King Kekaulike 7: Abner Nakihei scored four touchdowns, rushing for 89 yards and catching three passes for 78 yards as Lahainaluna defeated King Kekaulike last night at King Kekaulike.

Nakihei scored on runs of 12 and 25 yards and on receptions of 30 and 30 yards. Both touchdown passes were thrown by Kainoa Casco.
