Learning to read may not be easy

Gannett News Service

Reading is not the natural skill we believe it is, says Reid Lyon of the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, in the September issue of Parenting magazine.

As many as one-fifth of all children have some level of disability that gets in the way of reading.
