Grace Chang, a student at the William S. Richardson School of Law at the University of Hawai'i-Manoa, received a $1,500 scholarship from USA Funds, a student loan guarantor, and USA Education Inc., a provider of education financing.
The Breastfeeding Promotion Council of Hawaii and the Women, Infants and Children Special Supplemental Nutrition Program announced the winners of their annual Breastfeeding Friendly Awards. They are:
First Hawaiian Bank and HMSA, Breastfeeding Friendly Employer; Joann Tokushige, lactation consultant at Hawaii Mothers Milk and nurse at Queen's, Breastfeeding Friendly Educator; Rep. Ken Hiraki, D-25th (Downtown, Ala Moana), Breastfeeding Friendly Legislator.
The Hawaii Government Employees Association announced the winners of the 2001 Charles R. Kendall Scholarship and Education Fund.
