Musashimaru stays unbeaten at 3-0

Advertiser Staff

Yokozuna (grand champion) Musashimaru forced No. 1 maegashira Kotonowaka from the ring on the third day of the 15-day Autumn Grand Sumo Tournament.

Musashimaru (Wai'anae's Fiamalu Penitani) is one of four wrestlers at 3-0.

Two of the four ozeki (champion) lost their matches.

Miyabiyama and Musoyama won, while Kaio and Chiyotaikai lost.

Kaio, seeking promotion to sumo's highest rank of yokozuna, lost to maegashira No. 2 Takanowaka and dropped to 0-3.

Musashimaru is the only yokozuna entered in the tournament being held at Ryogoku Kokugikan Sumo Arena. Takanohana is out with an injury.
