LOUISE "ESANG" HEZEKIA, 76, of 'Aiea, died Sept. 7, 2001. Born in 'Aiea. Survived by husband, Solomon; daughters, Audrey Domingo, Geraldine "Kele" Day and Cecilia "Tari" Anderson; sons, Clifford and Daniel Maning; 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. MRS. REVEREND HISAKO HINO, 105, of Pukalani, Maui, died Sept. 8, 2001. Born in Hiroshima, Japan. A retired Japanese language school teacher; a member of Makawao Hongwanji Mission; also a teacher of Ikenobo flower-arranging. Survived by sons, Larry and Akira; daughters, Akiko Okada, Sue Sumiko, and Lillian Kobayashi; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. Private service held. Arrangements by Nakamura Mortuary.

ANTONIO CASTILLIANO ISRAEL, 91, of Honolulu, died Sept. 6, 2001. Born in the Philippines. A member of the American Rifle Association and Mo'ili'ili Senior Center. Survived by stepsons, Paul and Herman Troche; 12 grandchildren; also great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. ANGEL CALAMASA MANUEL, 61, of Waipahu, died Sept. 8, 2001. Born in Dingras, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. Retired from Foodland Waipio Gentry; a member of Aikane Baseball Club. Survived by wife, Elizabeth "Alice"; son, Aaron; daughters, Angela Dudoit and Allyson Agcaoili; nine grandchildren; brothers, Saturnino and Dennis; sisters, Josie Dela Cruz and Femia Calvan. GARY TOSHIO MATSUMOTO SR., 78, of Hilo, Hawai'i, died Sept. 11, 2001. Born in Puna, Hawai'i. A supervisor retired from the Board of Water Supply; also a decorated veteran of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team. Survived by wife, Elsie; son, Gary Jr.; daughter, Joy Ann; brother, Paul; sisters, Nancy Yamada, Masae Lum and Mildred Matsumoto; four grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren. Service 4 to 5 p.m. Thursday at Dodo Mortuary-Hilo. Casual attire.

THELMA "MIKE" HAAHEO SHIGAKI, 81, of Honolulu, died Sept. 2, 2001. Born in Honolulu. Retired from Dole Pineapple Co. Survived by sons, Larry and Zero; brother, Allen Joy; sisters, Elaine Hansinger and Mona Lum; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. Private service held. HERBERT ANTON STANGL, 68, of Honolulu, died Sept. 12, 2001. Born in Czechoslovakia. Retired from the U.S. Navy as a chief petty officer with the specialty of electronics technician. Survived by wife, Norma Lou; son, Edward. No service; burial at sea to be conducted by the Navy. Arrangements by Moanalua Mortuary.

MARSHA LYNN TAGAMI-TAO, 51, also known as Chris Kobayashi, of San Francisco, formerly of Hawai'i, died Sept. 3, 2001. Born in Japan. A journalist, editor, media relations consultant, host of a talk show on public television, and documentary film producer. Survived by parents, Kan and Tagami; brothers, Randy and John; sister, Janis Yamauchi; dear friend, Tammy Yee. Memorial service 4:30 p.m. next Sunday at Secret Island, Kualoa Ranch, 49-345 Kamehameha Highway. Casual attire.

HARUMI "MILDRED" TOKUMOTO, 84, of Wahiawa, died Sept. 7, 2001. Born in Waimea, O'ahu. A member of Eames Kumiai; also worked at Wahiawa Community School for Adults. Survived by son, Calvin; brother, Larry Odagiri; sister, Irene Odagiri; two grandchildren. Visitation 5:30 p.m. tomorrow at Mililani Memorial Park mauka chapel, service 6:30 p.m. Casual attire.

MINNIE MINEYO TOMINAGA, 78, of Honolulu, died Sept. 12, 2001. Born in Wai'anae. A gift wrapper retired from Liberty House. Survived by husband, Paul; son, Michael; daughter, Gail Sur; a grandson; half brother, Edward Ku; hanai brother, Kenneth Kuwahara; sister, Akiko Oda; half sisters, Anna Keanaiana and Roselei Sur; hanai sister, Lillian Sato. SIU LIN WONG, 98, of Honolulu, died Sept. 8, 2001. Born in China. Survived by daughter, Shu Kan Chang; son, Sik Kwan Wong; seven grandchildren. Visitation 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday at Nuuanu Mortuary, Taoist services; burial at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park.

ELIZABETH "BETTY" SILVA VIERRA, 71, of Pearl City, died Sept. 9, 2001. Born in Honolulu. A 1949 Kaimuki High School graduate; also a malassada maker active in the Portuguese community. Survived by husband, George; daughters, Georgianna "Pinky" Nunes, Melody "Bunny" Vierra and Yvonne "The Baby" Criado; three grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; sister, Eileen Nawa'a; hanai sons and daughters.
