Waikiki hotel plans New Year's Eve bash

For the fifth consecutive New Year's Eve, the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel will assemble a roster of Hawaiian music-makers on Dec. 31 in the hotel's Hawai'i Ballroom.

The party will include traditional Hawaiian music and contemporary island rhythms, plus hula by award-winning halau.

The lineup:

• 8 p.m. — Kanilau, featuring Halau Na Mamo O Ka'ala.

• 8:25 p.m. — Moe Keale, with Nalani Keale.

• 8:45 p.m. — Soldiers of the Royal Guard.

• 8:50 p.m. — The Makaha Sons, featuring Louis "Moon" Kauakahi, John Koko and Jerome Koko, with Robi Kahakalau.

• 9:50 p.m. — Chinese lion dance.

• 10:05 p.m. — Tony Conjugacion.

• 10:35 p.m. — Brother Noland.

• 11 p.m. — Conjugacion and Noland together.

• 11:25 p.m. — Kapena, with Kelly Boy DeLima, Tiva Tatofi and Timo Tatofi and Tamali'i O Patitifa Dance Company.

Bill Van Osdol of KCCN-FM and Randy Hudnell of KINE-FM will emcee, from 7:45 p.m.

The event has several packages at price levels to suit all budgets:

• Gold seating for cabaret show only, $85 per person, includes show and half-bottle of champagne.

• Platinum seating for dinner and show, $225 per person, includes buffet diner and unlimited wine and champagne.

• Gold seating for dinner and show, $200 per person, includes buffet, unlimited wine and champagne toast at midnight.

Timetable: Doors open at 6 p.m., dinner at 6:30 p.m., welcoming at 6:45 p.m., foyer entertainment by Ale'a at 7 p.m.
