• A candlelight service and fellowship will be held at Shingon Shu Hawai'i Betsuin, 915 Sheridan St., Honolulu, next to the Ke'eaumoku Street McDonald's, at 6:30 p.m. tomorrow.

• The YWCA of O'ahu will have a "caring book" in the lobby of the Laniakea Center, 1040 Richards St., beginning today, so visitors can express their thoughts about the Sept. 11 events. The book will be mailed to the mayors of New York City and Washington. Call the YWCA at 538-7061.

• A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. today at the Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery, 45-425 Kamehameha Highway, Kane'ohe. Dignity Memorial Funeral Providers of Hawai'i invites the public to attend. Freedom ribbons will be made available to participants, and register books will be available for signing.

• Borthwick Mortuary will have register books available for signing from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. beginning today. They will be collected as part of a memorial to the attack victims. Register books also are available at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery office, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, and 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
