• A candlelight service and fellowship will be held at Shingon Shu Hawai'i Betsuin, 915 Sheridan St., next to the Ke'eaumoku Street McDonald's, at 6:30 p.m. today.

• The YWCA of O'ahu will have a "caring book" in the lobby of the Laniakea Center, 1040 Richards St., beginning today, so visitors can express their thoughts about the Sept. 11 events. The book will be mailed to the mayors of New York City and Washington. Call the YWCA at 538-7061.

• Borthwick Mortuary will have register books available for signing from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. They will be collected as part of a memorial to the attack victims. Register books also are available at the Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery office, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, and 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
