UH signs deal to sell research

The University of Hawai'i has signed an agreement with UTEK Corp. of Plant City, Fla., to market university technologies.
"The University of Hawai'i has a history of creative research, and we believe that it will be a good source for new technologies," said Uwe Reischl, president of UTEK.
UTEK buys, licenses and finances university research for technology companies. The intellectual capital assets are sold for an equity stake.
