WILLIAM M. BEARDSLEY, 71, a retired lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army and Kailua resident, died Sept. 16, 2001. Born in Torrington, Wyo. Survived by wife, Marilyn Sproule; daughters, Cindy Telisak, Lisa Lilly and Karelin James; stepsons, Robert, David and Andrew Sproule; stepdaughters, Noelani Sproule and Kapane Sproule; 11 grandchildren.
