James Taylor Hawai'i concert tickets on sale

Tickets go on sale today for the upcoming appearance here of James Taylor, whose timeless and soulful ballads have been favorites among his Hawai'i fans for the past 30 years.

The concert is at 8 p.m. Oct. 27 at the Blaisdell Arena. Taylor is a multi-platinum and Grammy Award-winning singer-composer, who was inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame last year. In 1998, Taylor also received Billboard magazine's Century Award for his career lifetime achievements.

His hits include "Fire and Rain," "You've Got a Friend," "Handy Man," "Your Smiling Face," "Don't Let Me Be Lonely Tonight," "Up on the Roof," "Her Town Too," "That's Why I'm Here," "Rainy Day Man," "Shower the People" and "How Sweet It Is."

Tickets: $65 and $55, go on sale at 9 a.m. today at the Blaisdell box office and all Ticket Plus outlets, including Foodland and Sack 'N Save stores, House of Music Ala Moana, Tempo Music locations, the University of Hawai'i Campus Center, MWR Kunia, Brigham Young-Hawai'i, JCB Waikiki, the Honolulu Club, Pearl Harbor, Kane'ohe Marine Corps Air Station and other military outlets..
