HPU holds off Billings in five games

Hawai'i Pacific rallied from a 12-8 deficit in the fifth game to defeat Montana State-Billings 28-30, 30-23, 32-30, 22-30, 15-13, in a Pacific West Conference women's volleyball match at Billings.
The top-ranked Sea Warriors (9-0, 3-0 in the Pacific West) won their 37th consecutive match. Montana State-Billings is 8-4, 1-2.
Trailing 12-8 in the fifth game, HPU got three kills from Andrea Wean, two by Roberta Robert and an ace from Nia Tuitele to take a 14-12 lead.
Katy Wilson's dink shot to an empty spot gave the Sea Warriors the victory.
Wean led HPU with 26 kills. Angie Hopes had 25 kills for Montana State-Billings.
Tuitele got her 4,000th assist, adding to her school career record. She had a season-high 61 assists and a career high 21 digs against Montana State-Billings.
Robert had a career-high seven aces.
The two teams play again tonight.
