• WADE H. WAKAYAMA has been named president of Ameron Hawai'i, a manufacturer and supplier of construction materials. He was most recently vice president-general manager. George N. West, formerly operations manager of concrete and quarry products, was promoted to vice president of operations for O'ahu; and Eric M. Yoshizawa, Maui operations manager, assumed the new title of vice president of operations for that island.

• Honolulu Shriners Hospital has announced new members: DR. SUZANNE YANDOW, assistant chief of staff; RON CORDERO, new director of management information services; BILL DEY, inpatient services manager; GAIL TAKEUCHI, nutrition services manager, and CINDY TAMAYO, rehabilitative services manager.

• JONELLE REZANTES, who continued as senior sales executive at Hagadone Printing Co. after Hagadone's purchase of Tongg Publishing, has been named director of publications for the commercial and publication printer. Also promoted was ALISON CHANG, named new publication coordinator. Promoted from customer service representative to sales executive was GUY WATARAI. The company hired Marianne Martin, print coordinator for Kaua'i and the Big Island; and WAYNE TOOMEY, as an O'ahu sales executive.

• LARRY A. MORGAN, formerly with First Insurance Co. of Hawai'i, has been hired by Loomis Fargo & Co. as Hawai'i safety/loss prevention manager.

• JIM GUEQUIERRE, whose worldwide teaching assignments have included the University of Hawai'i, School of Architecture, has been elected an associate of architectural, planning and consulting firm, Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo. Guequierre, who has more than two decades of experience in design and space planning, previously was director of design for Ferraro Choi & Associates, and an associate with Skidmore Owings and Merrill in Chicago, as well as director of interiors for their New York Office.

• Finance Factors Ltd. has announced two promotions: ALVIN IGE to vice president and senior commercial loan officer; and Pamela Honda, to assistant vice president and loan closing supervisor, in the firm's residential loan department.

• KEVIN HASEYAMA has joined American Savings bank as vice president and financial risk manager of its treasury department.

• RALPH THOMAS KAM, president of Pacific Public Relations, Kane'ohe, will join 323 other College of Fellows members, accorded that professional honor by the Public Relations Society of America in annual international conference induction ceremonies next month in Atlanta. Kam is a former public relations director of American Savings Bank; manager of media relations, investor relations and internal communications for Bank of Hawaii, and vice president of marketing for Wahiawa General Hospital.

• DARLENE E. CANTO, LAURA LYNN PAEA and SUSANNE M. ZIKE have been named senior living counselors for Kahala Nui. Canto is former Hawai'i sales director for Ramada Inn at Union Square, San Francisco, Calif.; Paea, former marketing manager for The Ponds at Punalu'u assisted living community in Hau'ula, and Zike, owner of the local Custom Banner Artworks.

• Project management, land planning and construction veteran, AMY RICE has been named vice president of engineering and construction for the Big Island's 1,550-acre Hokuli'a planned golf community in Kealakekua. She joined Hokuli'a as director of planning in August 2000.

•MARK K. TAGAWA has been named business development specialist for the O'ahu Small Business Development Center, a partnership between the U.S. Small Business Administration and the University of Hawai'i, to provide island-wide counseling, training and other specialized services to O'ahu small businesses. Tagawa is former owner of an Internet cafe, and a former business account manager for GTE-Hawaiian Tel.
