Willoughby gets national honors

Kim Willoughby, a sophomore outside hitter for the No. 12 University of Hawai'i Wahine, has been named the American Volleyball Coaches Association/Sports Import National Player of the Week.
Willoughby set a school record with 35 kills in a four-game victory over No. 20 Santa Clara Friday night. She hit .316 on 78 attempts and added 16 digs. Willoughby followed with a match-high 16 kills in the Wahine's 3-0 win over the Broncos Saturday.
She was also named the Western Athletic Conference Player of the Week.
