A Hawai'i travel package will be among the items featured in the Ebay "Auction for America" to benefit victims and families affected by the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

As part of the "Auction for America" program, which aims at raising $100 million in 100 days, governors of every state will list merchandise for sale Oct. 1.

Hawai'i's contribution will be a "Come to Hawaii: Rejuvenate the Spirit" package, which includes first-class, round-trip tickets for a family of four from any major U.S. gateway city to Hawai'i on Continental Airlines and a five-day stay at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. The successful bidder will also receive a personal lei greeting from Gov. Ben Cayetano at the state Capitol and a color pictorial collectors book on Hawai'i signed by Cayetano.

"We hope that Hawai'i's contribution to Auction for America, which will be viewed by tens of thousands, sends a little aloha to our friends throughout the world," Cayetano said. "More importantly, we hope that it will raise a good amount of money to benefit those who were directly affected and continue to suffer as a result of the tragedy."
