Quarterback guides Wai'anae to victory

Caleb Paakaula completed 13 of 20 passes for 192 yards and one touchdown last night to lead the Wai'anae High School football team to a 17-0 victory over Kaimuki at Kaiser Stadium.

Paakaula passed for 131 yards in the first half as the Seariders held the Bulldogs to 59 yards and built a 17-0 lead.

Wai'anae improved to 4-2 overall, 3-2 in the O'ahu Interscholastic Association's Red Conference. Kaimuki fell to 1-4-1 and 1-2-1.

• Pearl City 40, Waialua 0: Chris Domingo caught a touchdown pass and ran for another score as the Chargers blanked the Bulldogs.

Domingo caught a 15-yard touchdown pass from Kiko Riego de Dios in the first quarter and ran for a 35-yard touchdown in the second.

Riego de Dios also scored on a 1-yard run in the fourth quarter.
