Portion of North Kalaheo closed for repairs

Repair crews responded to the broken pipe at 313 N. Kalaheo Ave. at 9:30 a.m. and were trying to restore water to one home, said Denise DeCosta, Board of Water Supply spokeswoman.
Police closed North Kalaheo Avenue between Kapa'a and Kaluamoo streets and asked motorists to avoid the broken water main which is near Kalama Beach Park. Repairs were expected to be completed by tonight, DeCosta said.
