Technology developer joins health incubator

Advertiser Staff

Michael Possedi, former manager of the Manoa Innovation Center, has joined the Hawai'i Health Care Business Incubator as a consultant.

Possedi has been hired to help the private incubator improve its services and attract clients, manager Bill Tobin said. The incubator, a for-profit joint venture of Kapiolani Health Systems and the Hawaii Medical Service Association that started in 2000, wants to help start-up health care companies grow into viable enterprises.

Possedi was hired last year to run the state's Manoa Innovation Center incubator last year, but left in August over policy differences with his employers, the High Technology Development Council.

Possedi has 10 years of experience in technology business development, and has worked for Lucent Technologies, Sun Microsystems and the National Security Agency.
