MDA fund-raiser set for Friday

Picture a world without muscular dystrophy.

That's what organizers of the Muscular Dystrophy Association Soiree 2002 would like you to do. To that end, the MDA is holding a fund-raiser 6-11 p.m. Friday at the Monarch Ballroom and Ocean Lawn of the Royal Hawaiian Hotel.

The evening will include entertainment, food and a silent auction, including paintings made by people who live with muscular dystrophy on the theme, "Picturing a World Without Muscular Dystrophy."

The cost is $100 per person and tickets are available the day of the event. Call 548-0588 for reservations and information.
