COOK'S TIPS
Cilantro vs. flat-leaf parsley: Cilantro still has roots on

If you have trouble telling the difference between cilantro (Chinese parsley) and flat-leaf parsley (Italian parsley) in the supermarket, remember this: Cilantro is the one with the roots on (it quickly wilts, otherwise). Also: If you give them a quick sniff, you'll know which is which: Cilantro has a musky, woodsy odor that some people can't stand; parsley has a peppery, fresh smell.
