Outrigger top 2001 marketer

The Honolulu Chapter of the American Marketing Association honored Outrigger Hotels & Resorts at the "2001 Marketer of the Year" luncheon yesterday in the Hawai'i Ballroom at the Sheraton Waikiki.

"Marketer of the Year" is the most prestigious award presented annually by the American Marketing Association.

Outrigger Hotels & Resorts was selected for its business leadership through innovative and aggressive marketing programs, its role in successfully promoting Hawai'i as a destination, as well as its sponsorship of community efforts and active support of philanthropic causes in Hawai'i.

Outrigger Hotels & Resorts is a division of the Hawai'i-based Outrigger Enterprises Inc., the largest hotel company in Hawai'i and one of the fastest growing lodging companies in the Pacific.

The American Association is the world's largest professional marketing association, with more than 40,000 members nationwide.
