Ace registry under way

Advertiser Staff

The United States Golf Register has launched a national campaign to identify, register, and archive past and present holes-in-one. An ace registered through U.S. Golf Register will become part of a historical document archived at the USGA library annually.

The golf register calls itself the nation's official historical registry of holes-in-one.

Its mission is to document and archive holes-in-one, and "to distinguish those who have achieved this extraordinary accomplishment."

It is estimated that there is a hole-in-one every 33,000 holes.

U.S. Golf Register was established in 1998.

Registration is available on the internet (usgolfregister.org) or by mailing a request for a form to U.S. Golf Register (712 Milam, Suite 100, Shreveport, La., 71101).
