Boxing

  • April 20 — Hawai'i Junior Olympic Boxing Championships. For boxers who will be 15 and 16 years old on Aug. 1, 2002. At Wai'anae Regional Park. Weigh-ins at 11 a.m. Fights start at 7 p.m. Winners advance to National Championships. All other boxers may compete in non-tournament bouts. Running

  • April 14 — Norman Tamanaha Memorial 15K. This Mid-Pacific Road Runners Club event will begin at 6 a.m. and will start and finish at Kapi'olani Park. This race is the RRCA 15K championship for Hawai'i. Fee: $15. Information: 295-6777.
  • April 28 — Fifth annual Race Against Violence. 7 a.m. start near 3113 Manoa Road. Proceeds to Domestic Violence Clearinghouse and University of Hawai'i women's cross country team, organized by Faerber's Flyers all-women's running club.
