Tonight's Must-See

"Merrie Monarch Festival," 6 p.m., ABC. After three days of competition, the festival wraps up tonight with male and female 'auana, or contemporary hula. The evening ends with the awards ceremony. Live from Hilo.

"Tru Confessions," 8 p.m., Disney Channel. This movie is more serious than the usual Disney film, with fine performances from two young actors. The story centers on Trudy "Tru" Walker, a bright teenager whose twin brother, Eddie, has a low IQ. She loves him, but feels guilty about his situation. Now she wants to enter a filmmaking contest. Her documentary will capture Eddie's world. Shia LaBeouf (star of Disney's "Even Stevens") is terrific as Eddie. But even better is Clara Bryant's performance as Tru.
