Pac-Five surprises Mid-Pacific

Dane Nakasone singled in Nick Fujii with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift previously winless Pac-Five to a 3-2 victory over previously unbeaten Mid-Pacific in an Interscholastic League of Honolulu baseball game yesterday at Ala Wai Field.
Mid Pacific is 7-1, Pac-Five 1-7.
Trailing 2-1 in the bottom of the seventh, Pac-Five's Owen Simmons scored on an error to tie the game.
The Owls outhit the Wolfpack 14-6.
Tyler Inouye pitched a complete game for the victory.

Punahou 8, St. Louis 7: Punahou relief pitcher Landon Nakata entered the game in the bottom of the seventh inning with one out and Bobby George on third and struck out a batter and fielded a ball for the last out to hold off St. Louis.
St. Louis had scored four runs in the inning to close to 8-7.

Roosevelt 14, Kailua 12: Matthew Terukina ripped a three-run homer in a six-run fourth inning as undefeated Roosevelt defeated previously unbeaten Kailua in an O'ahu Interscholastic Association baseball game at Stevenson Intermediate field.
The two teams combined for 28 hits and five home runs.
Garrett Yamamoto and Shaun Sasaki homered for Kailua, while Cameron Kimura and Brandon Loo also hit homers for Roosevelt.
Terukina finished 4-for-4 with five RBIs.
Chris Mols struck out seven in a complete game for Roosevelt.
