Stories from around the Pacific

By Zenaida Serrano Espanol
Advertiser Staff Writer

Tales from Pacific places — that could be the theme of Honolulu Theatre for Youth's newest children's productions.

"Runny Noses, Tiny Tails (Still More Mixed Plate)," recommended for age 4 and up, brings to life ancient stories from Japan, the Philippines, Malaysia and Alaska, but in a modern style for children to enjoy. Performances will be at 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. April 27 and May 4, 11 and 18 at McCoy Pavilion, Ala Moana Beach Park.

"Musubi Man," for age 3 and up, is a local twist on the classic tale about a gingerbread man who runs away, determined not to be eaten. Performances will be 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. April 27, May 4 and 11 at McCoy Pavilion.

Tickets range from $5 to $10. Children 2 and under are free but require a ticket. Call 839-9885 for more information.
