Kalani outlasts Kaiser in 2 OTs

Kalani outscored Kaiser 14-6 in the second overtime — hitting 6 of 10 free throws — to earn an 81-73 O'ahu Interscholastic Association Eastern Division girls basketball victory at Kalani gym last night.

Kaiser's Shera Yamamoto hit a jumper with no time left in the fourth quarter to send the game into overtime tied at 59. It was tied at 67 after the first overtime.

Ashley Takata scored 24 points and Chenty Bonifacio added 22 for the Falcons.

Julia Paulo scored 19 and Nanea Kamauoha had 15 for the Cougars.
