• Hawaiian Airlines' KEONI WAGNER, previously the airline's senior director of corporate communications, has been promoted to vice president, corporate communications. Continuing to serve as the company's media liaison, he will also oversee Hawaiian's system-wide public relations activities, including external and internal corporate communications.

RUEDI TOBLER, former site manager for the 180-megawatt Kalaeloa Cogeneration Plant in Kapolei, has returned to the steam and electricity plant as general manager. Tobler was general manager for the Azito O&M S.A. power plant in West Africa.

KAREN M. SAKAMOTO has joined architectural and design firm NEXT DESIGN LLC as co-owner and partner. She is former owner of KMS Design and past associate of Kober/Hanssen/Mitchell Architects. The other co-owner/partners at Next Design are Stanford Lee, Thom Fudge and Ann Kutaka.

FAY HAJIANI has been named chief financial officer for advertising and marketing company Ogilvy & Mather Hawai'i following its recently announced acquisition of Myers Advertising. Hajiani joined Ogilvy in 1997 as controller and was promoted to finance director in 2000. Also promoted was MICHAEL MOODY, new senior account executive.

NANCY GREKIN has joined the law partnership of Goodsill Anderson Quinn & Stifel LLP as partner. She was most recently shareholder and director in the law firm of Gerson, Grekin & Hieneman. An advocate of the incorporation of technology and law, Grekin created and maintains the Web site of the Real Property and Financial Services Section of the Hawai'i State Bar Association.

ERIK DERYKE has joined the American Automobile Association Hawai'i as account representative for group membership sales, overseeing a relatively new expansion of membership program eligibility to employers with a work force of 250 or more. He is a former public affairs broadcast journalist.

MICHAEL J. BIANCO has been named vice president of claims for locally owned Island Insurance Co.

THOMAS DELANEY, manager of Hawai'i Dental Service systems development since 1990, has been promoted to director of information systems.

HAMISH MacRITCHIE has been named cost manager of Rider Hunt Levett & Bailey, the property and construction consulting firm. He was previously senior quantity surveyor with Cemac Wellington Ltd. in New Zealand.
