Nominate senior workers for award

By Tanya Bricking,
Advertiser Staff Writer

Here's one way to show respect for your elders: Nominate them for an award.

Hawai'i's Executive Office on Aging is inviting the public to submit nominations for the state's most outstanding older worker — someone 65 or older working a minimum of 20 hours a week in paid employment.

Outstanding workers from each state will be honored with a trip, Sept. 17-21, to Washington, D.C., where each winner and his or her guest can take part in a program of events, award ceremonies and meetings with lawmakers.

To nominate someone, fill out the online form at experienceworks.org or request a form by mail by sending a postcard with your address on it to Prime Time Awards, c/o Marilyn Seely, Executive Director, Executive Office on Aging, 250 S. Hotel St., #406, Honolulu, HI 96813. The deadline is May 31.
