Komine out of Nebraska rotation

All-American Shane Komine, a 1998 Kalani High School graduate, has tendinitis in his right (throwing) elbow and has been taken out of Nebraska's pitching rotation for this weekend's series against Missouri.
He was scheduled to have an MRI yesterday.
Komine allowed three runs on eight hits in 4á innings against Oklahoma Friday in his shortest start since last May. It was his second straight no-decision game.
Komine, a two-time first-team All-American, is 5-0 with a 2.10 ERA and leads the Big 12 with 71 strikeouts in 55á innings.
He missed all of the fall season after undergoing offseason arthroscopic shoulder surgery, but had been dominant this spring until the last two weeks.
Komine is one of the 14 players listed (seven hitters and seven pitchers) on Baseball America's national Player of the Year list.
