The Warriors (9-2) took over sole possession of first place in the Interscholastic League of Honolulu with the victory, while the Owls (8-3) fell into second place for the first time this season.

Kamehameha scored three runs with two outs in the top of the seventh inning to tie the game, and Keoni Ruth brought home Tyler Perkins with an RBI single in the top of the eighth.

Mid-Pacific took a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the fourth on Tyler Okamura's RBI groundout, and made it 4-1 in the sixth on an RBI single by Ryan Basco.

In the top of the seventh, Nick Freitas reached on a two-base error with two outs, and Aaron Fuller followed with an RBI single to make it 4-2. Zach McAngus' RBI double closed it to 4-3, and JP Kennedy's single brought McAngus home with the tying run.

Perkins led off the top of the eighth with a triple down the left field line, and he came home on Ruth's single to left. The Warriors' Ikena Dupont set Mid-Pacific down in order in the bottom of the eighth to earn the victory.
