Fun for everyone, Wild West-style

Advertiser Staff

You'll have to forgive Iolani School if the theme of their annual Family Fair, "Wild Wild West 2002," gets taken to extremes; after all, there will be a "Malasada OK Corral." The Americana theme will color almost everything at the fair, from noon to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday on the baseball field at the school, at 563 Kamoku St.

The fair will include activities for keiki, such as a petting zoo, games, face painting and ceramics, plus "extreme games" such as rock-climbing. There will be stuff for grown-ups, too, including a white elephant sale, gourmet booth, silent auction and more. Among the entertainers: Ho'onua, Da Bruddahs, 'Ale'a, and dancers and musicians from the school. Admission is free. Details: 943-2339.
