Arrest made in game-room heist

Police arrested a man Monday in connection with an April 2 robbery at a Waikiki game room.

The robber demanded cash from the cashier shortly before 1 p.m. at the Peace Inc. game room, 1610 Kalakaua Ave., and then fled.

A tip about the robber's car led police to Kaimuki, where a suspect was arrested. The man also faces burglary and drug charges in other cases.

Ammonia spill forces evacuation

The spill of a gallon of ammonia Monday produced fumes that led to the evacuation of employees from a Waipi'o business yesterday morning.

The alarm at 9:38 a.m. led to the evacuation at a Hale Koa Construction warehouse, 94-1024 Waipi'o Uka St., after employees complained of itchy eyes, a fire spokesmen said.
