Kunia accident kills boy, 13

A 13-year-old boy died of injuries sustained in a four-vehicle crash yesterday in Royal Kunia, police said.

The accident occurred at 4:33 p.m. at the intersection of Anonui Street and Kunia Road. A Honda traveling toward Wahiawa on Kunia Road hit a Ford Mustang that was stopped on Anonui Street. The impact started a chain reaction that pushed the Mustang into another Mustang, which then hit a multipurpose vehicle. All three autos were stopped at the intersection.

The boy was in the first Mustang that was struck. He was initially listed in critical condition, but later died at St. Francis-West Medical Center.
