Residents urged to swap paint

Residents will be able to drop off unused paint or stop by to pick up free paint.

County officials said more than 300,000 gallons of paint end up in the landfill every year. The Drop and Swap is meant to reduce the waste and encourage recycling.

Locations are the Wailuku Community Center, Pukalani Terrace Center, Lahaina Recreational Center and Kalama Park in Kihei.
