Kalani's girls give McKinley first loss

Freshman Tamari Miyashiro scored 14 points as Kalani beat McKinley, 47-38, last night to hand the Tigers their first loss in O'ahu Interscholastic Association girls basketball.

Senior Ashley Takata added 10 points for Kalani (7-2), which kept its OIA East title hopes alive.

Amber Lee scored 23 points to lead McKinley (8-1), which has clinched a share of the East title.
