LORENZO BACTAT ALEGRE, 89, of Honolulu, died April 22, 2002. Born in Paoay, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. A retired vehicle operator at Hickam Air Force Base. Survived by wife, Emerenciana; daughters, Julie Florentin, Laurie Ito, Elsie Kashiwai and Jocelyn Asato; four grandchildren; brothers, Teodorico and Antonio; sister, Felomena. ROSENDO BUTAY SR., 51, of San Nicholas, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, will be remembered with a service noon Saturday at St. Philomena Church; visitation from 10 a.m.; burial 1:30 p.m. at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park. Survived by many daughters, sons, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and sister, Aurora Ronduen. His remains were brought here from the Philippines. He died 30 years ago. ALICE CARVALHO, 69, of Kahului, Maui, died April 22, 2002. A registered nurse. Survived by mother, Rose Fernandez; son, Amos Jr.; daughter, Paula Baisa; sisters, Amy Butler and Shirley Kealoha; half sisters, Violet Mae and Rosaline Voctorine; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
