University of Hawai'i outside hitter Costas Theocha-ridis was named to the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation all-star volleyball team.
UH middle blocker Dejan Miladinovic and libero Vernon Podlewski were named to the second team, and outside hitter Eyal Zimet and setter Kimo Tuyay received honorable mention.
Pepperdine made a clean sweep of the top awards. Middle blocker Brad Keenan is the Player of the Year, outside hitter Sean Rooney is Freshman of the Year, and Marv Dunphy is Coach of the Year.
"I think Costas is the best player, but the voters have spoken," UH coach Mike Wilton said. "I'm not allowed to vote for my guys. All (a coach) can do is submit names for consideration."
Last year, Theocharidis was named the conference's and the nation's top player.
