Advertiser Staff

Tulsa ran away with its fourth consecutive Western Athletic Conference Women's Golf Championship yesterday, winning by 25 shots and capturing the first three individual places.

Hawai'i finished last, four behind Boise State and 75 behind the Golden Hurricane's total of 17-over-par 881.

Tulsa's Stacy Prammanasudh won the individual championship at Red Hawk Golf Club in Sparks, Nev. Prammanasudh closed with 74 to finish at 5-under 211. The three-time All-American was named WAC Player of the Year.

Rene Krause led Hawai'i at 81-234, tying for 19th. Laura DeLucia (78-238) tied for 24th and Melanie Matsumura (84-241) was 28th.

Tulsa — thanks to David Inglis' 9-under 63 — also leads the WAC Men's Championships, which began yesterday at Turtle Bay's Fazio Course.

Tulsa shot 277 to lead Southern Methodist by six strokes. UH is in ninth at 301.
