Kalani holds off Kalaheo in baseball

Randy Kitagawa pitched a four-hitter with two strikeouts, and Travis Canonizado batted 2-for-4 with a homer to lead Kalani to a 5-3 victory over Kalaheo in an O'ahu Interscholastic Association baseball at Kailua Recreation Center field.

The loss dropped the Mustangs to 7-3 in the OIA Eastern Division a half game behind Roosevelt, Kailua and Kahuku (7-2).

• St. Anthony 15, Lahainaluna 5: St. Anthony used a 10-run fifth inning to rout Lahainaluna in a Maui Interscholastic League baseball game at Iron Maehara Stadium in Wailuku, Maui.

The Trojans took a 5-4 lead after four innings, then scored 10 runs on six hits and sent 10 batters to the plate in the fifth.

Despite the loss, Lahainaluna earned a berth in next week's four-team MIL tournament. The Lunas, Baldwin and King Kekaulike finished 9-5, behind regular-season champion Maui (13-1).
