Hawaiian Air, America West sign deal

Advertiser Staff

Hawaiian Airlines and America West Airlines, the nation's eighth-largest carrier, have entered a code sharing and marketing agreement, the companies said today.

The agreement will link America West's Phoenix hub with Hawaiian flights. The two airlines will also honor each other's frequent-flyer programs.

Code sharing allows one airline to sell flights on another airline as its own. At check-in passengers receive boarding passes on both airlines for their connecting code-share itineraries.
