• Saturday-Sunday — 48th annual Maui Women's Golf Invitational. At Pukalani and Maui country clubs. Saturday at Pukalani: 8 a.m. modified shotgun, 7 a.m. check-in; Sunday, at Maui country clubs: 7 a.m. shotgun start, 6 a.m. check-in. Information: Wilma Vorfeld, 244-4195, or Dot Tam Ho, 877-5433.

• Aug. 9 — Deadline for Teen Golf Challenge, on Aug. 12. At Makaha Resort Golf Club, West Course. Divisions: Grades 7-9, boys and girls; grades 10-12, boys and girls. Fee: $30. Information: Bill Villa, 255-5261.

• Aug. 17 — Blossom Kalama Evans Scholarship Golf Tournament. At Hilo Municipal Golf Course. Format: Two-person scramble. Fee: $75 per person. Information: (808) 969-3005.

• Aug. 31-Sept. 2 — Barbers Point Invitational Golf Tournament. At Barbers Point Golf Course. Applications available at all military and selected O'ahu golf courses. 54-hole stroke play event with a cut after 36 holes. Fee: $90 military, $120 others. Information: Barbers Point golf shop, 682-1911.

• Sept. 5 — Fifth annual Hawai'i Sports Hall of Fame Golf Tournament. At Waikele Golf Club. 12:30 p.m. shotgun start. Fee: $170 per person, $510 per 3-person team. Proceeds to support Bishop Museum exhibits. Information: Gil Tam, 540-5737.
