The idea was simple really. Take the already kittenish-appeal of the Pussycat Lounge experience, and add on a few changing monthly essentials: a known out-of-town DJ, an exhibition by a talented-but-underexposed local artist. Mix in free massages and makeovers. Can't miss, right?

The Pussycat's "Glitter and Glamour Experience" gets its third go-round at the Wave Tuesday, along with a life extension.
"Our original plan was a party with a three-month arc," said Hansen. "But with the popularity and the response we've gotten, we're going to keep it going as long as people are digging it." Which, right now, at least, means "Glitter and Glamour" DJs, artists, fashion, hair, makeup and the occasional fire dancer show for everyone through at least October.
This month's headlining "Experience" spinner is Los Angeles-based DJ John Kelley, a veteran turntablist who gained fame touring the mid-to-late-'90s rave scene. Kelley specializes in the funk in particular, acid funk and the harder-edged sounds of breakbeat techno. Also scheduled to spin: Las Vegas DJ Charles Lee, and Imaginary Friends' DJ Rayne.
The art exhibition will feature works from Honolulu graffiti artist East.
"The whole night is about art, fashion, hair, makeup, music and expressing your individuality through one or more of those things," said Hansen. "No one thing really stands out as the main reason to come. It's all of those elements combined."
