Corrections

• Lili'uokalani Church will hold its annual lu'au today at its Hale'iwa facility, 66-090 Kamehameha Highway. An item on Page B3 yesterday had the wrong date because of a reporter's error.

• The AT&T Hawai'i Dragon Boat Festival entertainment begins with the Philippine Cultural Group of Hawai'i at 10 a.m. today at Ala Moana Beach Park. Tomorrow's lineup begins with Daniel Ho at 10:45 a.m. The schedules of entertainment were incorrect on Page 38 of yesterday's TGIF section. Please see Page B2 for a corrected list.

• Stan Wright took the photographs of the event honoring first lady Vicky Cayetano. His name was omitted from the People column Thursday because of an editor's error.

• The name of UH student Lu'ukia Archer was misspelled in a caption on Page One yesterday because of a photographer's error.

• Louise Funai resigned as executive director of Helping Hands Hawai'i. Her name was misspelled on Page B3 yesterday because of a reporter's error.

• The new Central Union Thrift Shop is 1,400 square feet. A story on page E1 yesterday contained an incorrect figure because of an editor's error.

• King's Village, 131 Kai'ulani Ave., will celebrate its 30th anniversary Aug. 10. An item on Page 36 of July 26's TGIF section was incorrect because of an editor's error.

• On O'ahu, the initial fine for violating the animal nuisance law is $50 if it did not occur within two years of a previous violation. A $100 fine for a second violation is given within two years of a previous violation, and subsequent fines within two years of two or more violations are between $500 to $1,000, and/or imprisonment for up to 30 days. In lieu of imprisonment, a judge may order the defendant to serve up to six months probation. The court may also order the animal's owner to attend an animal control training program. Also, Paul Putzulu is an assistant police chief. A description of the penalties, as well as Putzulu's rank, were incorrect in a story on Page One yesterday because of a reporter's error.
