Part of Kaluakoi golf course to open

The new owner of the shuttered Kaluakoi Resort on Moloka'i plans to reopen at least nine holes of the golf course in November and the remainder of the course at a later time.Molokai Ranch, which bought the resort in late 2001 from Tokyo Kosan Ltd. subsidiary Kukui (Molokai) Inc., began repairing the course's irrigation systems in June.
Kukui (Molokai) closed the Ted Robinson-designed course, along with the 140-room hotel, in late 2000. Molokai Ranch said it is considering a number of development options for the hotel.
