Tonight's Must-Sees

"The Mole" (ABC) or "American Idol: The Search for a Superstar" (Fox), both 8 p.m. For the second round of "The Mole" this is the final hour. Only three people are left, and tonight we find out who the mole is and who wins the money. That would cause a lot of a fuss except "American Idol" has so much energy. Six contestants remain. The series finale is Sept. 4.

"Widows" 9 p.m., (ABC). As this series starts, it seems to assume there are no police in a posh part of Boston. A cement truck repeatedly batters another truck without attracting attention. It's ridiculous — except it sets up a strong character drama. The attack makes widows of a woman used to wealth (Mercedes Ruehl) and two who aren't (Rosie Perez, Brooke Shields).
