Tonight's Must-See

"Red Skies," USA Network, 8 p.m.; "Breaking News," Bravo, 2 and 5 p.m. Here's something we wouldn't expect in the summer — a choice between two original dramas. Both have the terrific Clancy Brown as the boss. Both have sharp scripts and camera work. Beyond that, they're opposites.

Of Note

"Meet My Folks," 7 p.m., NBC. It's intimidating to date someone whose dad is a rancher/repo man.

"American Idol: The Search for a Superstar," 8:30 p.m., Fox. Another person is voted off the rock.
