Tonight's Must-See
"Family Television Awards," 8 p.m., ABC. For a while, ABC was, like all the other networks, ignoring families. Most of its shows were childless. Even its traditional Friday comedies were dumped. Then ratings crashed. ABC suddenly remembered that it is owned by Disney. For next season, it designates 7-8 p.m. weekdays as "happy hour." That makes it the logical network to host these awards, assembled by a family-friendly coalition. There are prizes for best comedy, drama, movie, special, new show, animated show, actor and actress.
"Entertainment Tonight," 6:30 p.m., KHNL. Kate Bosworth and the stars of the shot-in-Hawai'i film "Blue Crush" are interviewed at either the film's premiere or last month's O'ahu media junket.
